Shareholders of J.B. Hunt Transport Services will receive a quarterly cash dividend of 20 cents per share, inline with previous quarters, according to a release from the Lowell-based transport company Wednesday (Oct. 29).
The dividend is payable Nov. 28 to shareholders of record on Nov. 14 and represents a 1.02% yield based on the stock price of $78.86. Over the past 52 weeks J.B. Hunt shares have traded between $69.33 and $79.89. The shares were down 36 cents on Wednesday at $78.50.
Johnelle Hunt, co-founder of the company, is the largest individual shareholder with 18.45 million shares worth an estimated $1.44 billion. Her quarterly dividend payment will total more than $3.69 million.
